- AKC - American Kennel Club

Conformation (Show) Titles
- Ch - Champion of Record (prefix) (AKC)
- Dogs must acquire a total of 15 points from at least 3 judges, including 2 major wins.
- DC - Dual Champion (Show Champion and Open Field Champion)
- Can Ch - Canadian Champion (CKC)
- Am Can Ch - Championships in both United States and Canada
- AM Mex Ch - Championships in both United States and Mexico
- AOM - Award of Merit (single show title)
- BIS - Best In Show (single show title)
- BOB - Best of Breed (single show title)
- BOS - Best Opposite Sex (single show title)
- BOW - Best of Winners (single show title)
- SBIS, BISS - Best In Specialty Show (single show title)
- Specialty - Breed specific show
- ROM - Register of Merit
- Sire of 15 AKC Champions or Dam of 7 AKC Champions (or other qualifying titles, including AKC FCh, AFSA LCM, more... ROM details) limit 2 titles per offspring
- ROMX - Register of Merit Excellent
- Sire of 25 AKC Champions or Dam of 10 AKC Champions (or other qualifying titles, including AKC FCh, AFSA LCM, more...) limit 2 titles per offspring
- CD - Companion Dog (AKC, CKC) Obedience Title
Lure Coursing Titles
- BIF - Best in Field (single trial title)
- DC - Dual Champion (Show Champion and Open Field Champion)
- FC, FCh - Field Champion (prefix) (AKC, CKC)
- Win BIF at the National Lure Coursing Championship
- 15 points, with at least 2 firsts with at least 3 points under 2 different judges or panels and 1 point with at least 1 of the same breed in competition.
- FCh - Field Champion (suffix) (ASFA)
- (a) Attained 100 points in ASFA Open stake competition.
(b) Including 2 first placements or 1 first placement and 2 second placements. - JC - Junior Courser (suffix) (AKC)
- A hound running alone shall receive certification from a Judge on one date, and a second certification from a different Judge at a later date, stating that the hound completed a 600-yard course with a minimum of four (4) turns. The hound must complete the course with enthusiasm and without interruption. The two runs can be on the same date at or in conjunction with a National Breed Specialty.
- LCM - Lure Courser of Merit (suffix) (ASFA) (also LCM2, LCM3, etc.)
- Hounds who have attained the ASFA Field Championship, and who, after receiving the championship, continue to compete and receive four first placements with competition and 300 more points, which must be in the ASFA Field Champion stake. After receiving an additional four (4) first placements with competition and an additional 300 points, the title of LCM II shall be awarded, and so on for additional numbers.
- SC - Senior Courser (suffix) (AKC)
- 1) Must be eligible to enter the open stake (JC or FCh).
2) The hound must run with at least one other hound.
3) Must receive qualifying scores at four AKC-licensed or member trials, under two different Judges or judging panels.
